Chapter One: When it snows in Utah...

When it snows in Utah like this, it is time to start some home cooking. Today we will make "porogi s kartoshkoi". Yes, your "babushka" would make it for you if you'd live in Russia. While the recipe is old and secret, we uncover some simple steps you can follow to make to make this "delikatess" at your very own kitchen. And do not forget to clean your drive way from snow.

First, we need to get ready all the ingredients: secret recipe for potatoes and dough.




Then add some love and roll pirogis:
1) Add potatoes to rolled dough.


2) Roll pirogis with your hands
3) This is how it should look after you are done.

4) Special secret move from Inna....


5) Add some olive ( or any other oil you like) on the frying pan. Lay pirogi


6 ) This is how they should look. Do not make it too crowded. Your pirogi might start burning.
7) After some time turn your pirogis around to cook form both sides.

8) While your first batch is cooking, start making second batch.


9) This is how it looks at the closer view of one pirog.


10) Fry your pirogis untill golden color


11) It is time to pick it all off the frying pan now.


12) Now, invite some friends over and enjoy your very own "pirogi s kartoshkoi"!
